ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. I have a strong family legacy here, in the missional community as well as the Native community. I married my high-school sweetheart. We have 5 miracle children. Being involved in the community is very important to me. I have served on numerous committee boards. Currently I am the Chaplain for the Ketchikan Fire Dept. My husband and I coach soccer through the year with our 5 kids. When I am not serving the local church and the community, you will find me hiking on one of the MANY trails here in Ketchikan with my dog Hiilaang. Nature is one of my favorite ways to connect with God. My second go to place to feed my soul is in the kitchen! I will love you by cooking you food.
WHY I ENTERED MINISTRY
My mom would tell you that she knew as far back as me being an infant that I would serve the local church. Trauma, painful childhood events and the wrestling of my spirit and flesh, I challenged her a lot with her view on that. Yet when I reached my late 20’s I couldn’t deny that God was stirring waters deep in me to say yes to the call of ministry.
WHY STAC
STAC was a breath of fresh air to my husband and I when we moved back after completing our college degrees. The missional heart, the intense focus on children and the “come as you are” were so appealing to me. It was in STAC that I said yes to ministry, it was in STAC that I had unexpected relationships that ministered to me and brought healing. It was and is in STAC that I feel/hear/see God whispering to me “this is my daughter with whom I am pleased”. I want to help people grow in their understanding of who God is and more importantly who God is tending to in their personal soils of their souls.
